Edgmond Parish Council

Rights of Way in Edgmond need your help!

Your Parish Council continues to help improve local rights of way so that you can clearly see where you may walk, cycle or ride in the countryside.

The two new short posts on Birchmoor Lane have been provided by T&W and installed by volunteers from the Parish. More fingerposts and short posts will be installed over the coming months. If you are not sure where you may walk in the Parish and beyond, and you don't have an OS map, you can have a look at the map in the notice board on the car park, or have a look at the simplified map on this website.

Footpaths are for people on foot only; bridleways are for horses and cycles as well; restricted byways are routes open to all non-motorised traffic. The standard colour coding across the country is that footpaths have yellow waymarkers whilst bridleways and restricted byways have blue. In Edgmond some of the fingerposts are also marked with their status (however, they are not all correct!).

If you would like to help keep the local rights of way clear and you have a few hours to spare now and then, do please contact the Clerk.
