Clypping the church
The Full Council normally meets on the second Tuesday of every other month. Committee and Working Group meetings are held at irregular intervals between the Full Council meetings. All meetings are open to the public to observe. In addition to being open to the public, there is also an open public session at the start of Full Council meetings when any resident may raise any issue of concern or interest to the Council.
Meetings normally start at 7.00pm and last up to two hours. Full Council meetings are usually held in the new Studio Room at the rear of the Village Hall. Zoom video conferencing may be used for Committee Working Groups or when face-to-face meetings are not possible. Larger public meetings are held in the Main Hall of the Village Hall.
Agendas are produced and circulated at least 3 days before a meeting. Councillors must not participate in discussion of any item on any agenda if they have declared a pre-determined view. Anyone who has a pre-determined view or who has declared an interest in an agenda item, must leave the room whilst the decision of the Parish Council is made.
In addition to regular Full Council and Committee meetings, the Parish Council holds an Annual General Meeting in May. The AGM starts the new administrative year and is the meeting at which all members make their Declaration of Acceptance of Office. The Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected and the schedule of meeting dates, make-up of Committees and members on outside bodies are agreed. The acceptance of Standing Orders and Financial Regulations are all confirmed at this meeting.
The Annual Parish Meeting (APM) is usually held in April. This is NOT a Parish Council meeting but is a residents' meeting, giving everyone an opportunity to meet their Councillors and to raise anything of concern or interest in a more informal setting. The Chairman presents an Annual Report and the Annual Accounts are available. Our Ward Councillor will normally attend the APM.

Edgmond Parish Council is invited to attend Liaison Meetings with Harper Adams University on a fairly regular basis. The Parish Councillors find these meetings very useful and an opportunity to discuss local matters direct with the Senior Management Team and Officers.
